4 通用技術要求
采用的制造方法，應能保證產品有完整的表面和棱邊，而沒有毛刺。通常，不要求去除諸如開槽或鍛壓、沖壓或切邊等工藝造成的小毛刺。然而，任何影響產品性能或者觸摸時有安全危險的毛剌，均應去除。标準的螺栓、螺釘、螺柱和螺母應規定下列部分：
a）機械性能（性能等級、材料）；
b）產品等級（公差）；
c）标準化的幾何特征（如需要時）；
d）表面覆蓋層（如要求時）；特殊技術要求（如同意時）。
所有數據與制成品有關。除另有專用标準或供需之間的協議，否則不應規定制造過程。
超出螺栓和螺釘支承面的切邊毛刺是不允許的。
除非另有規定，否則允許螺栓和螺釘留有中心孔。
除非已規定了一種表面覆蓋層，產品的表面處理應為：
——不經處理，用于鋼制產品，或
——簡單處理，用于不鏽鋼或有色金屬產品。
如無其他協議，交付的螺栓、螺釘、螺柱和螺母應是清潔的，并塗有防鏽油。
