4. 直徑與牙數的标準系列
直徑與牙數标準組合系列應符合表1的規定。在表内,應選擇與直徑處于同一行内的牙數。
優先選用第一系列直徑。
對一般機械工程和商品緊固件,應優先選擇粗牙(UNC或UNRC)和細牙(UNF或UNRF)系列。如需要更小螺距的螺紋,則選擇超細牙系列(UNEF或UNREF)。粗牙、細牙和超細牙系列統稱為分類螺距系列。
當分類螺距系列無法滿足使用需求時,從8個恒定螺距系列(UN或UNR)中選取牙數。在恒定螺距系列中,優先選取8牙、12牙和16牙系列,不推薦選用括号内的牙數(4牙)。
6. 螺紋尺寸的米制化
先按英寸單位計算螺紋直徑的極限尺寸(最終尺寸),然後利用1英寸等于25.4毫米進行米制尺寸轉化,最後進行米制尺寸的圓整。
本标準表1内的基本大徑是計算螺紋中徑和小徑基本尺寸,以及計算中徑公差和内螺紋小徑公差的依據,不宜代入米制形式的基本大徑進行有關尺寸和公差計算。
牙數的倒數是螺距,螺距是計算螺紋中徑和小徑基本尺寸以及螺紋公差的依據,不宜代入米制形式的螺距進行有關尺寸和公差計算。
基本大徑和螺距的米制尺寸可以作為螺紋檢驗、螺紋刀具和量規設計的參考尺寸。基本大徑和螺距的米制轉化值分别見表A.1和表A.2。
